Stacey Upchurch-McIntyre is the co-founder and owner of Avante Laser & MediSpa. A native Houstonian, she began her career in hair removal as an electrologist in 1984 before co-founding Avante with Mary Ann Urban in 2000 after years of researching and implementing advanced laser hair removal technology.

Stacey became a Certified Laser Technician (CLT) in 2000 and a Certified Laser Specialist (CLS) in 2002, earning both certifications from the Rocky Mountain Laser College, along with additional training at the Light Speed Laser Training Center. She has performed more than 30,000 laser hair removal procedures, received the National Achievement Award from the Rocky Mountain Laser College in 2003, and remains committed to advancing the industry through continuing education, public speaking, and professional training. In 2011, she and Mary Ann also founded the Avante Laser Training Institute to educate the next generation of qualified laser professionals.
