How do “tox” and fillers differ?

They are quite different. Botox was the first “tox” developed for cosmetic use, but today, Dysport, Xeomin, and Jeuveau, commonly referred to as NewTox at Avante Laser &Medispa.

Tox treatments are tiny injections into specific muscle groups primarily of the face, used to relax the muscle. When the muscle is relaxed, wrinkles significantly improve or disappear. These formulations usually show results within three days to two weeks and typically last three to six months, depending on how your body metabolizes the product. Fillers, on the other hand, are used to filling areas of the face that lose volume over time, such as the temples, cheeks, smile lines, and lips. Results are immediate and usually last six to twelve months.
